Nativity Preparatory School Selects Kyle Mullins as New Principal
June 1, 2018 - Nativity Preparatory School in Boston has announced that Mr. Kyle Mullins has been named as the school’s next principal, effective starting the 2018-2019 academic year.
Previously, Mr. Mullins worked at Regis High School in New York City where held the dual role of a faculty member in the English Department and Academic Dean and Summer Coordinator for REACH (Recruiting Excellence in Academics for Catholic High Schools). REACH is a 3-year educational and leadership program serving middle school students from mostly low-income immigrant families.
“Kyle Mullins is an Ignatian educator. As a college student, young teacher, and then administrator, he has practiced being a Catholic gentleman of compassion, conscience, and competence,” said Fr. Mario Powell, SJ, director of the REACH Program at Regis and a Nativity Prep Trustee. “Kyle’s departure from Regis is a loss, but I am excited by how and what he will be able to give to countless Nativity students in the coming years.”
Nativity Preparatory School is an accredited, tuition-free, Jesuit middle school serving boys of all faiths from low-income families residing in Boston. Staffed by experienced teachers and dedicated volunteers, the school prepares students for success in high school, college, and beyond. Aug. 15, 2018 - Fr. Denis R. Como, SJ, died peacefully on Aug. 14, at Campion Center, Weston, Mass. Fr. Como was born on Jan. 3, 1936, and entered the Society of Jesus on Aug. 14, 1953. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 30, 1966. He pronounced his Final Vows on May 30, 1989.
Aug. 6, 2018 - In his August prayer video, Pope Francis spoke on the treasure of families. “Together, let us ask Jesus that any far-reaching decisions of economists and politicians may protect the family as one of the treasures of humanity.”
Aug. 3, 2018 - On July 31, One Jesuit Buffalo organized a Mass and a street festival in honor of St. Ignatius called Iggy Fest. More than 600 people attended the festival on St. Michael's Place. Visitors and alumni came from as far as Cleveland, Rochester, New York City and beyond.
Aug. 3, 2018 - Fr. William M. Sullivan, SJ, was called to eternal life on Aug. 3, 2018. He was born on April 21, 1936, in Brooklyn, N.Y., entered the Society of Jesus on July 30, 1953, and was ordained on June 9, 1966. He pronounced his final vows on August 15, 1975, at Fordham University, Bronx, N.Y.
