Jesuit Jubilarian Masses 2018

Sept. 27, 2018 – Earlier this month the USA Northeast Province held two Masses in celebration of our Jesuit jubilarians. Both Masses were celebrated by Fr. John Cecero, SJ, provincial of the USA Northeast Province. The province is grateful to these men celebrating jubilees for their wholehearted response to God’s call to serve.

Nov. 8, 2019 - Pope Francis recently addressed 210 participants in the congress of the 50th anniversary of the Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat, accompanied by the Superior General of the Society of Jesus, Father Arturo Sosa SJ.

Nov. 6, 2019 - Last month, hundreds of Jesuit-educated alumni and friends of the Society gathered at 23 parishes and schools for the fifth annual Jesuit Friends and Alumni Sunday Masses.

Nov. 6, 2019 - This fall, seven Jesuit high schools - Fairfield Prep, Fordham Preparatory School, Loyola School, Regis High School, Saint Joe's Prep, Saint Peter's Prep, and Xavier High School - are competing to help fill local food banks and pantries with provisions for families in need.

Nov. 5, 2019 - This month Pope Francis is asking us to join him in praying for Dialogue and reconciliation in the Middle East in the Church. "Today, many Christian communities, together with Jewish and Muslim communities, work here for peace, reconciliation, and forgiveness. Let us pray that a spirit of dialogue, encounter, and reconciliation emerge in the Middle East."

Nov. 4, 2019 - Fr. G. Simon Harak, SJ, died peacefully on Sun., Nov. 3, 2019. Fr. Harak was born on April 15, 1948, and entered the Society of Jesus on Sept. 5, 1970. He was later ordained on June 9, 1979, in the Chapel of St. Joseph at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. He pronounced his final vows on April 14, 1991.

Nov. 1, 2019 - Earlier this year, the Jesuits announced four new Universal Apostolic Preferences. One of these preferences was "To collaborate in the care of our Common Home," a call to protect the environment. To help answer this call, we will be sharing a series of monthly ecology reflections.
