Jesuit Jubilarian Masses 2018

Sept. 27, 2018 – Earlier this month the USA Northeast Province held two Masses in celebration of our Jesuit jubilarians. Both Masses were celebrated by Fr. John Cecero, SJ, provincial of the USA Northeast Province. The province is grateful to these men celebrating jubilees for their wholehearted response to God’s call to serve.

June 5, 2020 - This month Pope Francis is asking us to join him in praying for the people suffering in the world. "We can help them by accompanying them along an itinerary full of compassion which transforms people’s lives."

June 1, 2020 - Last year, the Jesuits announced four new Universal Apostolic Preferences. One of these preferences was "To collaborate in the care of our Common Home," a call to protect the environment. To help answer this call, we will be sharing a series of monthly ecology reflections.

June 1, 2020 - Fr. James J. Fedigan, SJ, was called to eternal life on May 31, 2020. Fr. Fedigan died in Murray-Weigel Hall, Bronx, N.Y., from causes unrelated to the coronavirus. Fr. Fedigan was born on June 3, 1932 in New York, N.Y., entered the Society of Jesus on Sept. 7, 1951, and was ordained on June 10, 1965. He pronounced his final vows on Feb. 2, 1968.

May 29, 2020 - Fr. Donald J. Moore, SJ, died on May 27, 2020, at Murray-Weigel Jesuit Community, Bronx, N.Y. He was 91 years old. May Fr. Moore now be welcomed into eternal life.

May 27, 2020 - Now more than ever, we invoke God to wipe away the darkness of anxiety, allowing us to be guided by the light of Christ and to trust in God’s promise of new life. Over the last few months, our Jesuit provinces have been in a place we don’t often find ourselves, a place that saw our schools closed, parishes empty, and the halls of our retreat centers giving new meaning to the word “silent.”

May 21, 2020 - Nativity Preparatory School in Boston has announced that Mr. Gadisa Goso has been named the next principal effective for the 2020-2021 academic year. Mr. Goso is member of Nativity Prep's class of 1997 and previously taught at Nativity.
