The 2020 Jesuit GALA: Honoring Those Who Serve Others

May 7, 2020 - Thursday, May 7, 2020, would have been our 2020 Jesuit GALA honoring the works of the Jesuits of the USA Northeast Province and the importance of our mission of giving for others. During this worldwide pandemic, we have all been affected in many, many ways. We have seen and experienced trials and tragedies, but we have also been a witness to great hope. This hope is evidenced through our Jesuits who have provided countless hours of live and on-line spiritual and educational services and authored moving testaments of courage. We have Jesuits who have gone into communities most in crisis to offer presence and relief from suffering.

Today we especially highlight the recipients of our 2020 Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam Award, John V. and Kathleen Murphy. In these challenging times we must celebrate those who continue to give of themselves For the Greater Glory of God. In keeping with the tenets of St. Ignatius and his followers, our Jesuits and dedicated lay colleagues will continue to educate and work selflessly in the field of social justice to the best of their ability. We will continue to honor humble and outstanding men and women such as John V. and Kathleen Murphy who exemplify our values and ideals and invite others to join them in these endeavors.
