Oct. 18, 2018 - The Society of Jesus in the U.S., Canada and Haiti welcomed 40 new Jesuit novices this fall at novitiates in California, Louisiana, Minnesota, New York, Quebec and Haiti. They have selflessly offered their lives to the service of the marginalized, to the church, to God and to each other.
Oct. 17, 2018 - Spanish Jesuit Fr. Jose Luis Iriberri, will be visiting the East Coast to give a series of talks promoting the Ignatian Camino, a pilgrimage/trekking trail that traces Ignatius' famous pilgrimage in 1522 from Loyola to Montserrat and Manresa.
Oct. 14, 2018 — Today, Pope Francis canonized: Pope Paul VI and Archbishop Oscar Romero of San Salvador, El Salvador. Carrying Pope Paul VI’s pastoral staff and wearing the blood-stained belt of Archbishop Romero, Pope Francis formally recognized them, and five others, as saints.
Oct. 10, 2018 - On Sept. 27, friends of the Maryland and USA Northeast Provinces visited the Metropolitan Museum in New York City for a guided tour of Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, led by Fr. Leo O’Donovan, SJ, president emeritus of Georgetown University.

August 23, 2018 — Twenty-six Jesuit novices in Canada and the United States professed first vows of poverty, chastity and obedience this month. A novice spends two years at the novitiate for the first stage of Jesuit formation, culminating in first vows — a public profession of commitment to the Society of Jesus.
August 24, 2018 — Superior General Arturo Sosa calls on Jesuits and their colleagues to join with the People of God to respond to the cry of Pope Francis for prayer and penance in solidarity with those abused by clerics.
Aug. 20, 2018 - On October 20-21, 2018, join fellow Jesuit educated grads for Jesuit Friends and Alumni Sunday. The Masses will feature a reception afterward, where attendees can learn about volunteer programs, spiritual development opportunities and other ways to take part in the many offerings of Jesuit ministries.
Aug. 6, 2018 - In his August prayer video, Pope Francis spoke on the treasure of families. “Together, let us ask Jesus that any far-reaching decisions of economists and politicians may protect the family as one of the treasures of humanity.”
Aug. 3, 2018 - On July 31, One Jesuit Buffalo organized a Mass and a street festival in honor of St. Ignatius called Iggy Fest. More than 600 people attended the festival on St. Michael's Place. Visitors and alumni came from as far as Cleveland, Rochester, New York City and beyond.
