Good Friday and Easter Reflections 2025

April 15, 2025 – This year two recently ordained Jesuits filmed video reflections for Good Friday and Easter. We invite you to watch these reflections and hope that they help you grow and deepen your faith this Easter Season.

Good Friday Reflection

On Good Friday, we pause to reflect on the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the sorrow of the cross. Fr. Brendan Gottschall, SJ, offers a short video reflection on our call to share in the sorrow of this day. Fr. Gottschall was ordained last year and currently serves as the assistant director and promoter of vocations for the USA East Province.

Easter Reflection

Fr. C-Y Kao, SJ — ordained just last year — shares a powerful reflection on what it truly means to live as Easter People. Currently pursuing graduate studies at Columbia University, Fr. Kao also serves in pastoral ministry at the Church of St. Francis Xavier in New York City. Let his words inspire us all to embrace the hope and renewal of the Resurrection.
