Solidarity in Cities

Universal: Solidarity in Cities

That the aged, marginalized, and those who have no one may find–even within the huge cities of the world–opportunities for encounter and solidarity.

In his sixth Apostleship of Prayer video, Pope Francis speaks on his prayer intention for Solidarity in Cities. The video highlights how the in the busy life of the city, the elderly and sick can be forgotten about. "Our cities should be characterized above all by solidarity, which entails not only giving to the needy,” says Pope Francis, “but also taking responsibility for one another and fostering a culture of encounter."
