Office of Ignatian Spirituality

Spirituality

The Office of Ignatian Spirituality (OIS) is an office of the USA East Province of the Society of Jesus committed to partnering with people and ministries to promote Ignatian spirituality for mission.

Their ministry operates from Maine to Georgia offering opportunities to experience the graces of the Spiritual Exercises, to gather Ignatian spiritual directors and practitioners, and to bring together seekers looking to find God through the wisdom of St. Ignatius Loyola. They seek to meet the needs of those in the Ignatian community and beyond by:

  • offering programs to those traditionally underserved – including young adults and Latinos
  • connecting Jesuits, lay collaborators, and seekers in the ministry of the Spiritual Exercises

Since reorganizing as the Office of Ignatian Spirituality (formerly The Jesuit Collaborative), they have expanded their reach and mustered the resources of the USA East Jesuit Province to reach more people in more places. They are collaborating closely with the Jesuit retreat houses within the province, and working with other established Ignatian ministries to provide more opportunities and greater resources to the people they serve.
