The Health Care Coordinator serves as the consultant to the Provincial Team or his designee (PAI-IC), local superiors, and to individual Jesuits within the province to aid decisions in health care and transition. This position will assume responsibility for the organization and care management of health services on behalf of the Jesuits living in communities of the Northern region. The Health Care Coordinator will plan, organize, and manage a program of comprehensive assessments including on-going medical and psychosocial needs and functional status for Jesuits in the USA East Province residing in local communities. HCC will assess needs regarding safety and current living arrangements, overall ability to function in the Jesuit’s current community and to handle daily living needs, and capacity for apostolic duties. This position will address broad health care needs, assist in planning and implementing key directions for the continuum of care and transition, as appropriate, to a health care community of the USA East Province in collaboration with the staff of the individual center. The HCC will review weekly reports and monitor the health care provided for Jesuits at Campion Health Center to ensure quality of care.
The HCC is a member of the health care team of the USA East Province, reporting to the Provincial Team, and participating in weekly meetings of the HCCs with the Assistant.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement and with a close working relationship with the lead Philanthropy Officer, the Major Gifts Officer seeks to increase participation in annual, major, and planned giving from supporters to the Jesuit East Province and others who have connections to the Jesuits. The Major Gifts Officer seeks to secure leadership commitments at the $100,000+ level. The Major Gifts Officer staffs a portfolio of approximately 150 leadership-level donors, prospects, and volunteers who can make significant commitments at the leadership level to the Province.
The USA East Province of the Society of Jesus is one of four Provinces of the Society of Jesus in the United States and one part of the worldwide body of Jesuits. The Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) is a Roman Catholic order of priests and brothers founded in 1540 by the soldier-turned-priest, Saint Ignatius Loyola. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 7 years of successful fundraising experience and a proven track record of closing five, six, and seven-figure gifts. The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the mission of the Roman Catholic Church and the national and international vision of the Jesuits. Experience working with trusts, estates, and estate planning products is required; this experience can be within a university setting, other nonprofit organizations, or in the private sector. Private sector experience in wealth management or accounting is relevant. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior leadership, Board members, volunteers, and others in cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities is essential. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel to meet donors throughout the East Province and work nights and weekends when necessary. Travel required, approximately 75%-90%, and as needed. Must reside in the Baltimore, MD/Washington, DC region.
